Hubei Tianmen Builds A Digital Intelligence Platform And Overseas Warehouses Enable Clothing Industry To Go To Sea

The "Tianmen Yishang" global supply chain strategy upgrade and clothing e-commerce digital industry ecology conference was held in Tianmen City, Hubei Province on the afternoon of April 1. The "Tianmen Yishang" supply chain information platform was officially released on the scene, and overseas warehouses were opened simultaneously, marking that Tianmen City has accelerated the construction of a cross-border e-commerce service system of "industrial hub+global network".

As a demonstration base for China's apparel e-commerce industry, Tianmen now has more than 6800 apparel market players, including more than 3200 apparel e-commerce enterprises and more than 12000 registered stores on the e-commerce platform. In 2024, the online trading volume of clothing e-commerce will reach 51.3 billion yuan, with a total sales volume of 620 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of 25%. The products will be exported to more than 150 countries and regions, ranking first in Hubei in terms of business volume on Xiyin, TEMU and other platforms.

At present, the apparel industry in Tianmen has gradually realized the park oriented and intensive development, forming a "one core and three towns" development pattern with "China (Tianmen) Garment E-commerce City, Baima Garment E-commerce Base, Chemical Fiber Textile Industrial Park" as the core, and "Longteng Garment Town, Yuekou E-commerce Famous Town, Jiuzhen Cross border E-commerce Town" as the support. The industrial agglomeration effect has initially appeared.

This time, the "Tianmen Yishang" supply chain platform, led by the government, integrates industrial resources, builds eight functional modules, including supply and demand docking, e-commerce services, logistics finance, etc. At present, the development of small programs for mobile phones has been completed, focusing on the realization of the functions of supply and demand center, Tianfu Mall, market information, recruitment and job search, factory leasing, etc.

In addition, China (Tianmen) Garment E-commerce City, the key development area of clothing e-commerce industry cluster in Tianmen City, is building 56000 square meters of cross-border e-commerce building and selection center, as well as 65000 square meters of production plant. After completion, it will form an industrial complex integrating R&D, display and trading, and warehousing.

In terms of overseas warehouse layout, currently, Tianmen has built overseas warehouses in Bangkok, Thailand and Los Angeles, the United States, and domestic front-end warehouses have been opened simultaneously. This year, the local government also plans to build overseas warehouses in Hungary, Malaysia, Vietnam and other places, and build a network of "domestic direct purchase center+overseas warehouses". Through this ecological construction, it will effectively solve the pain points of high inventory, long cycle and weak coordination in the traditional clothing industry, reduce costs and increase efficiency for small and medium-sized e-commerce enterprises, and provide consumers with better product experience.

"We will improve the functions of the supply chain platform, vigorously guide local and surrounding enterprises to settle on the platform, and realize the seamless connection of business flow, logistics, information flow and capital flow." Xiao Min, deputy secretary of the CPC Tianmen Municipal Committee and mayor of Tianmen, said that the city will focus on the construction of the supply chain system, accelerate the layout of overseas warehouses, focus on the leading enterprises and chain owners, and vigorously promote "extending, supplementing and strengthening the chain" Precise investment attraction and form industrial cluster effect. It is reported that the online transaction volume of Tianmen Garment E-commerce is expected to exceed 70 billion yuan in 2025.
