315 In Action: Hebei Gaoyang Destroys Nearly 6 Tons Of Counterfeit And Inferior Commodities

On the morning of the 10th, on the eve of the "March 15" international consumer rights and interests day, nearly 6 tons of counterfeit and shoddy goods were destroyed in a recycling station in the north of Gaoyang County, Hebei Province, with a command from law enforcement officers on the spot.

According to Han Litong, director of Gaoyang County's market supervision and Administration Bureau, the fake and inferior commodities destroyed at the scene included 3800 kg of yarn, 3096 towels, 11694 sofa cushions, 1080 electric blankets, 8125 triangular belts and 12 shock absorbers. In addition, 102 bags of problematic salt and 44 cases of unlabeled raw fish were sent to the county garbage disposal plant for disposal, and 1086 batteries, 1697 barrels of antifreeze fluid, 105 boxes of lubricating oil and other infringing products were sent to third-party organizations in Hebei Province for destruction.

Han Litong said that since 2021, the county has adhered to the combination of daily inspection, supervision, sampling and special rectification, and investigated nearly 6 tons of counterfeit and shoddy goods, such as infringement of exclusive rights of registered trademarks and unqualified quality, of which 2 / 3 of them are textile products. Next, the county will launch a month long crackdown on product quality, intellectual property rights and commercial fraud.

On the same day, Gaoyang County market supervision and Administration Bureau publicly informed the public of three typical cases of counterfeiting and infringement. At the same time, to Hebei Ruichun Textile Co., Ltd., Tianmai Hebei Textile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Baoding Qianlong Textile Co., Ltd. and other 54 honest business operators were commended.

Case one: Gaoyang County Doulin towel factory infringement of registered trademark exclusive right of goods. On September 28, 2021, when the law enforcement personnel inspected a business site, it was found that the place was suspected of providing semi-finished towel products and counterfeit "jieliya" trademark logo for the Doulin towel factory in Gaoyang County.

Case 2: Pang's sale of goods infringing the exclusive right of registered trademark. On December 15, 2021, it was verified that Pang sold high-temperature grease with the word "Mobil" in its business premises, which violated the exclusive right of ExxonMobil (China) Investment Co., Ltd.

Case 3: the meat products of Sanyi meat shop in Gaoyang County have not been inspected and quarantined. In the early morning of January 19, 2022, law enforcement officers seized 3 pig carcasses and 17 pig heads that had not been inspected and quarantined in the raw and fresh meat stores of Nansha vegetable market in Gaoyang County.

Gaoyang County is a famous textile town in China. There are more than 4000 textile enterprises with an annual output of 500000 tons of towel. The products are sold all over the country and exported to more than 200 countries and regions such as Europe, America and Africa.
