Lima is the capital of the Republic of Peru and its largest port. Lima has little rain all the year round and is a world famous "city without rain". In most colonial times, Lima was always the most important center of political and commercial power in South America. The famous gold museum and National Museum of anthropology are the splendid and long-standing cultural symbols of Lima.

The textile, paper, paint and food industries constitute the main industrial categories in Lima and contribute to its economic development.

Overview of Peru's textile industry
In 2017, Peru's official media "Peruvian" reported that since May, thanks to the growth in the production of ropes, hemp thread, knitted fabrics and other textile materials, Peru's textile economic indicators have steadily increased. In August, the total trade volume of Peru's textile industry increased by 15% year-on-year, accounting for 5.1% of the manufacturing industry. Cesar terro, President of the textile Committee of the association of Peruvian exporters (ADEX), stressed that recently, the consumption of yarn, chemicals, dyes and other products in Peru's textile industry is relatively large, forming a systematic long-term production line.
In April 2018, Peru's textile and clothing exports reached US $109 million, a year-on-year increase of 17%, achieving 11 consecutive months of growth. Among them, T-shirts and worsted woolen garments contributed significantly to the export, accounting for 40% of the total exports. Peru's main export markets are the United States, China, Chile and Colombia.
Since 2020, due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, Peru's textile industry has been seriously damaged. The country's leading textile and clothing wholesale center has lost more than $1 billion so far. The chairman of the National Textile Industry Federation is actively communicating with the Peruvian government on revitalization measures. The Chinese government said that if the epidemic prevention and control is effective, Peru will speed up the pace of economic recovery. In addition, the holding of Lima international textile industry exhibition will help Lima's textile industry further recover and help to build a world textile industry cluster.
Entering Lima gamara Market

Lima gamara Market

Lima gamara market is the most important textile and clothing wholesale center in China. It has gathered nearly 31900 small and medium-sized enterprises, of which micro manufacturers account for 99%. Affected by the epidemic, gamara market has been closed for more than three months. Although it has resumed operation in late July 2020, it has only returned to 60% of the volume before the outbreak. In addition to promoting the "revitalization plan" of Peru, Peru's Ministry of economy and finance also provides "SME relief loans" to help Peru's textile industry recover.
Cuzccinchero is a famous birthplace of Peru's textile industry. The local people are very good at making all kinds of handicrafts, known as "the birthplace of rainbow". The most famous Sunday crafts market is one of Peru's oldest and most prosperous markets. However, the residents living on the island of tachili, the "holy lake" of Peru, still retain the ancient Andean civilization. People here still abide by the gold standard of the Inca period, speak ancient Quechua language, and maintain primitive and traditional living habits. The men here are good at weaving, and their hats and waistbands are all handmade by men. Here, the level of weaving skills represents the strength of a man's ability.
Textile City enterprises enter Peru

On October 23, 2020, the Zhejiang export online trade fair 2020 (Peru Station - Textile Fair) was successfully held by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce.

This online fair gathered 40 textile enterprises from Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Jiaxing, Huzhou, Jinhua and other places of Zhejiang Province to participate in the fair. A total of more than 1940 products were displayed, and more than 180 high-quality buyers from Lima, Cusco, arekipa, ayakuqiao, vanuko and other places were attracted, and online observation and procurement docking were conducted accurately and effectively. During the five-day exhibition, the suppliers and purchasers conducted a total of 139 precise docking, and reached an intended turnover of 5.4 million US dollars.

Shaoxing Chunbo Textile Co., Ltd., Shaoxing shunman Textile Co., Ltd. and Shaoxing Boxin Textile Co., Ltd. actively use the live / recording function of cloud exhibition platform to show the charm of their products in detail. According to the statistics of the platform after the exhibition, during the five-day exhibition period from October 19 to October 23, exhibitors conducted a total of 30 live broadcast activities, with the total duration of more than 40 hours, and the overall live flow reached nearly 700 person times.

In 2015, at the "2015 Peru International Textile Exhibition" held in Lima, the capital of Peru, Ruan Zhigang, general manager of Zhejiang Shaoxing Dechao Textile Co., Ltd., said that in order to enter the Peruvian market, we should first understand the fashion trend of the country's clothing industry, pay attention to product quality, give full play to price advantages, and do a good job in after-sales service. More than 100 kinds of products, such as digital printing, chemical fiber and rayon, were brought by Dechao in this exhibition. These products skillfully avoided the restrictions of Peru Textile Association on cotton fabrics, and also met the demand of Peru market for chemical fiber fabrics.

Since 2009, Chinese enterprises have successively participated in the Peru international textile exhibition. Since 2012, the Organizing Committee of the textile exhibition has cooperated with Shanghai fulide Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., and more and more Chinese enterprises have participated in the exhibition.
