BYDN95 MaskCertified

On June 10, on the interactive platform of Shenzhen Stock Exchange, an investor asked BYD about "the progress of BYD's mask export to the United States". Then BYD replied that "BYD N95 masks have recently obtained NIOSH certification and will continue to supply N95 masks for California."

The passing of N95 mask certification means that BYD's 1 billion yuan mask order process in the United States has ushered in a turning point.

In April this year, the California government and BYD signed an order of more than $1 billion. It plans to purchase 300 million N95 masks from BYD in two months, with a unit price of $3.3; and another 100 million medical surgical masks with a unit price of $0.55 and an advance of $495 million.

Since the N95 masks failed to obtain NIOSH certification by April 30 (the National Institute of occupational safety and health, mainly engaged in scientific research on occupational safety and health, making recommendations on the prevention of work-related injuries and diseases), BYD refunded half of the advance payment (US $495 million) paid by the state for the purchase of masks, or $247 million, by the California government The deadline will be extended to May 31. However, by May 31, the certification work had not been completed. The California governor's office of emergency affairs revised its contract with BYD North America to allow BYD to complete the certification process for nioshn95 masks by June 12.

It is reported that on June 8, us time, California governor Gavin Newsom announced that BYD North America, headquartered in California, has been certified by the National Institute of occupational safety and health (NIOSH) and will produce N95 masks for California. According to the contract of N95 million, it will be delivered to California medical staff within a few days. The contract also ensures that California will have enough masks in the future if needed. BYD's mask business is full of twists and turns!

A while ago, due to the BYD mask incident, the FDA withdrew the permission of more than 60 Chinese manufacturers to export N95 masks to the United States, reducing the number of N95 mask manufacturers approved by China to manufacture N95 masks for the United States from about 80 to 14. The rumor that BYD has broken through the FDA list is still worth noting.

CITIC BYD is expected to make a profit of several hundred million yuan after the end of the epidemic, and it is expected that CITIC Securities will continue to make a profit of several hundred million yuan after the end of the epidemic.
