Wuhan Textile University Goes To Lichuan To Carry Out Educational Assistance

In August 23rd, Wei Yiliang, the party secretary of Wuhan Textile University, went to Lichuan to carry out education poverty alleviation work. He trained mental health knowledge for primary and secondary school teachers in Dongcheng Office of the city, and donated to Dongcheng junior high school.

Schools, purchasing 65000 yuan of Sinology classics, world famous books and popular science education books, set up libraries for Dongcheng junior high school, improved the conditions for running schools, giving full play to the talents and resources advantages of schools, organizing mental health center teachers to give lectures to management cadres and class teachers in schools, conducting psychological counselling training to junior middle school teachers in Dongcheng, conducting group psychological counseling activities with academic decompression as the theme, and investigating activities of academic stress and coping strategies for all the students in grade three; meanwhile, the special education experts of the National Education Advisory Committee's innovative talents training mode reform group were selected, and Professor Marx of Wuhan College of the school interpreted the spirit of the National Education Conference for all Dongcheng junior high school teachers, in-depth analysis of the quintessence of National Education Conference and the trend of educational reform. Since 2016, Dongcheng junior high school in Lichuan has become the supporting unit for education and poverty alleviation of Wuhan Textile University, and Wuhan Textile University has donated more than 40 computers for the purchase and deployment of Dongcheng junior middle school.

In 2019, Wuhan Textile University continued to play the advantage of the Hubei provincial mental health demonstration center. It selected two teachers from Zhao Baofu and Freya Lim to carry out mental health knowledge training for 219 teachers from primary and secondary schools in Dongcheng Office of Lichuan City, and conducted mental health tests for teachers. At the same time, aiming at the practical problems of psychological teachers in local primary and secondary schools, a teacher in Dongcheng junior high school will be training in the mental health education center of Dongcheng middle school next semester to train professional teachers for local secondary schools.

This year, Wuhan Textile University also donated 100 thousand yuan to the school for the purchase of teaching equipment for the shortage of teaching resources in the eastern city. At the donation ceremony, Wei Yiliang, Secretary of the Party committee of Wuhan Textile University, said that the school will cherish the fate of helping the junior middle school teams in Dongcheng, and support the improvement of school conditions with practical actions. Later, schools will do their best to help the development of Dongcheng junior high school and other schools. We hope that through our joint efforts, we will deepen the educational poverty alleviation achievements and make new and greater contributions to the "integration of education".
