In July 6th, the National Forum on intelligent control and green development of textile printing and dyeing was held in Shaoxing. More than 200 experts and scholars from various parts of the country attended the conference.

The textile industry is one of the pillar industries in Shaoxing. There are 1862 Textile Enterprises above Designated Size, of which 8 are listed companies. In 2018, the output value of textile industry in Shaoxing reached 191 billion 800 million yuan, accounting for 28.2% of the total industry in the city.
 
Zhou Xiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, analyzed the three aspects of green manufacturing, dyeing and finishing technology, green development, printing and dyeing industry, chemicals and waste, and pointed out the direction for the transformation and upgrading of the printing and dyeing industry. 3 leading experts from the national level and Professor Wang Ping, Shanghai University of Engineering Science, respectively made expert reports. The responsible person of Shaoxing introduced that along with the development of the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, Shaoxing took the traditional industry transformation to enhance the only pilot project at the provincial level, took the textile industry as a breakthrough point, accelerated the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, vigorously developed the high-end textile industry, and realized the Phoenix Nirvana of the textile industry.
 
In the afternoon special forum, Zhao Tao, vice president and professor of the school of chemistry and biology, Donghua University, and 6 experts from the sales director of Gao Xun green intelligent equipment manufacturing (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd.
Shaoxing has been known as the "textile town" since ancient times, and is an important textile production base and distribution center. Shaoxing textile industry has a relatively complete industrial chain, covering polyester, chemical fiber, weaving, dyeing and finishing, clothing and apparel, dyestuffs, textile machinery and other fields, with obvious agglomeration advantages, equipment advantages, information superiority and market advantages. But in recent years, under the external pressure of resources, environment and international trade conflicts, market competition and other external pressures, it is imperative to transform and optimize the traditional textile industry. Huang Zheping, secretary and chairman of the Shaoxing Association for science and technology, said that the textile and printing professional technical forum, with the theme of intelligent control and green development as the theme, insisted on innovation as the driving force to boost the development of printing and dyeing industry in Shaoxing and accelerate transformation and upgrading. The forum is sponsored by the China Textile Science Research Institute, the Shaoxing municipal Party committee of the CPC, the Shaoxing science and Technology Association and the Shaoxing University.
