SASO Update Some Product Import Rules
According to the Saudi economic report May 12th, SASO has begun to conduct quality inspection and control of degradable plastic products on the market in accordance with the first stage technical rules. The current list includes disposable plastic bags, clothing, tablecloths, and other products will start in succession.
At the same time, SASO implements third stage technical rules for building materials (ceramic tiles, ceramic tiles, sanitary ware and so on), that is, strict Saber platform application procedures. After May 15th, no relevant products registered on Saber platform will be cleared. In addition, SASO said that since September 13th, all ceramic products on the market have entered the fifth stage technical rules, that is, compulsory Q-Mark certificates.
