Tod 'S Group Suffered Setbacks In Its First Half Performance

U.S. regional revenue fell 6% to 48 million 700 thousand euros, mainly by second quarter turnover significantly reduced.
In the Greater China region, turnover fell by 9.5% to 107 million euros, mainly due to continued weakness in Hongkong. The turnover in mainland China is slightly higher, but it is still in a negative state.
In other countries, regional turnover rose by 4.1% to 73 million euros, mainly driven by the Korean market.
Group CEO Diego Della Valle pointed out that sales figures in the first half of 2016 reflected that the industry and the market were still highly unstable, but even under such adverse circumstances, the group's development plan would still invest more innovative products through various channels to promote growth.
In March this year, Tod 's group revealed its plan to reduce market expansion. Diego Della Valle stressed the group's main goal now to improve organic growth in its first half performance on Thursday. As of June 30th, there were 261 stores and 103 franchised stores, compared with 251 outlets in the end of June last year, and 93 franchised stores. In the past year, the group has closed 10 licensed stores.

However, Exane BNP Paribas luxury management Luca Solca analysis shows that Tod 's group has been battered by core businesses, and of course, the overall market environment is difficult, but Gucci's innovation and high growth rate of Hermes still stand out. Tod' s seems to have yet to find a reasonable way to re stimulate growth.
