Brand Asics announced its poor performance in the 2015 fiscal year.

Net profit fell to about 80 million euros, compared with 167 million euros in 2014.

This means that Asics's net profit has fallen by more than 50%.

The negative impact of exchange rate is one of the important reasons for the drop in profits, especially in Brazil.

However, after adjusting the monetary impact, revenue growth in the Americas and European markets increased by 14.5% and 15.7% respectively.

Therefore, the figures for 2014 are compared with those in 2015.

Asics also recently announced the acquisition of Runkeeper, a smartphone app, hoping to keep up with Adidas in the digital strategy of the fitness market.
