Managers think they can be excluded.

In order to determine the impact of crowding out behavior, Robinson and other researchers conducted a series of surveys on the responses of managers and employees in many organizations. First, they asked 90 managers how they felt about crowding and bullying at work. It was found that crowding out behavior was more socially acceptable, causing less trouble in work and less harm than bullying.

staff Think that being excluded is harmful.

But researchers found that employees are equally vulnerable to being excluded and bullied. Research shows that being ignored at work is the most harmful factor to a person's happiness. Exclusion is not only bad for employees' health, but also affects people's job performance and satisfaction. In the 1300 cases of Robinson survey, those who had been excluded were more likely to be dissatisfied with their work, easier to quit, less devoted to work and more serious health problems.

People who are excluded are easier. Resignation

After three years of research, researchers found that those who felt excluded were more likely to quit. Robinson points out that "most people think that being pushed out at work is better than being bullied. But people who have actually experienced it will tell us that this is not the case, and so is our survey data. Being squeezed out at work is the most painful thing. "

Crowding out It's a form of bullying.

Another poll on workplace shows that nearly 1/3 of Americans say they are being squeezed out of work. Robinson says exclusion is a form of bullying, though many may not think so. She hopes that further research will prove that its influence may be more serious than harassment.

Robins believes that managers have a long way to go to make employees aware of the fact that job crowding is just as bad as sexual harassment and verbal harassment. "We have tried to eliminate bullying in our work and schools, but the phenomenon of exclusion has not attracted enough attention." Robinson pointed out that "many people feel that they are being excluded from daily life, but they can not voice because of all kinds of injustice."
