IDC said that e-commerce related services industry is expected to grow into a pillar industry of the national economy.
On March 5th, Premier Wen Jiabao of the State Council proposed to develop new consumption formats such as online shopping.
This is the last year's "government work report" the first "roll call" online shopping, online shopping as a representative of the new consumer formats again by the State Council's focus.

According to the data released by IDC recently, the composite growth rate of China's e-commerce market from 2010 to 2015 was 46.1%, much higher than that of the global market in the same period of 11.7%.
In 2011, China's online shopping volume reached 784 billion 930 million yuan, an increase of 66% over 2010.
According to the National Bureau of statistics, the total retail sales of consumer goods in China increased by 11.6% in real terms over the same period.
IDC predicts that the e-commerce service industry is expected to grow into one of the pillar industries of the national economy in the information economy era.
By 2013, the online retail service industry will support more than one trillion online shopping pactions.
By 2015, China will have the largest and most leading e-commerce service industry in the world, and China's online shopping volume will account for 7% of the total retail sales of consumer goods.
Take Alibaba group as an example, in 2011, Tmall (former Taobao mall) paction volume reached 100 billion yuan scale; Juhuasuan group buying paction volume exceeded 10 billion yuan, the market share exceeded 50%; Taobao travel annual turnover amounted to 10 billion 900 million yuan, an increase of 122% compared with the same period last year; mobile Taobao annual turnover is expected to exceed 10 billion yuan; the total number of registered users is more than 650 million, and the daily turnover is more than 4 billion yuan.
Taobao and Tmall have more than 8 million packages per day, accounting for nearly 60% of the total package of the express industry.

Driven by the emergence and growth of a series of e-commerce services such as payment, logistics and software, it has enriched the third industry in China, promoted the process of service pformation, and brought about the rapid growth of consumption scale.
According to the relevant agencies estimates, the electricity supplier service industry revenue of 1 yuan, can support online shopping pactions increased by 9.65 yuan.
Taobao data shows that the number of service providers that access Taobao's open platform has exceeded 42000 by September 2011, more than 11 times the same period in 2010.
At present, the growth rate of 200 new daily access providers has been maintained.
IDC believes that e-commerce services in the five aspects of reducing social paction costs, promoting social division and cooperation, enhancing social innovation opportunities, improving the efficiency of social resource allocation and promoting the development of new business civilization will significantly increase employment, promote the pformation of China's economic development mode, enhance the competitiveness of industrial structure, and promote regional coordinated development.
