Negative Corporate Attitude

Recently, environmental experts said that a good company should start thinking about how to cope with the impacts of climate change.

Mark Karel, a climate change and environmental consultant at MarcKarell in New York, said recently that when global warming was introduced to corporate environment managers, global warming would affect public health, and temperature increases meant that mosquitoes spread diseases in a wider range.

But on the spot a listener from the production therapy malaria instrument company said that if the outbreak of malaria, the company could increase sales.

According to the US Huffington post, over the past 10 years, although global investment in clean technology and policies has been growing rapidly in response to global warming, the effect is not good enough to prevent warming, which does not mean abandoning such investments or policies.

Recently, a joint report issued by the United Nations, the World Resources Institute and Oxfam Oxfam, USA, conducted a survey of dozens of enterprises that promised to tackle climate change, including well-known enterprises such as Coca-Cola, DuPont, Swiss Reinsurance and CNOOC.

83% the surveyed enterprises said they believed that climate change had an impact on their businesses. 86% of enterprises said that climate change also brought business opportunities. Only a few enterprises said they could combine the climate crisis with potential development opportunities to form a business model.

The latest Mercer consulting company survey shows that by 2030,

The economic cost of absorption and climate policy is expected to be as high as US $8 trillion.

Public policy will inevitably be used to solve the areas most affected by climate change. Enterprises will also be the main role to help solve the vulnerable communities affected by climate change. The crisis in the community will also affect the development of enterprises. Enterprises should have a good business sense to help communities build their infrastructure.

Samantha Pino, of the World Resources Institute, said that a healthy and lasting community would make local businesses more prosperous, and businesses would not be able to decouple from the region they live in.

Some enterprises have begun to change.

For example, Coca Cola Co has established partnerships with 50 thousand small farmers in Uganda and Kenya to establish a local juice supply network, which provides market opportunities and diversified income for local communities, and has also established a more secure system for Coca Cola Co.

The cement company of Mexico, West is actively providing affordable housing for low-income groups vulnerable to climate change.

Many enterprises say they are right.

Climate crisis

There is confusion about the long-term scientific data, and it is not very clear how to link it better with decision making.

Some enterprises say that the uncertainty of future climate impacts makes investment risk increase.
