The appeal that lasted for 5 years will also usher in the dawn of victory.

According to Beijing Daily reported on January 14th, 13, reporters from the Ministry of Commerce and China Leather Association learned that the EU or April this year will give up 16.5% pairs of Chinese and Vietnamese leather shoes anti-dumping duties, the 5 year's appeal will also usher in the dawn of victory.

According to Wei Yafei, director of shoe making office of China Leather Association, the European Union

footwear industry

The Federation (CEC) recently issued a news bulletin on leather shoes review.

According to the circular, the EU footwear Federation has negotiated with the European Commission many times, and decided to give up the sunset review of anti-dumping measures that are being implemented and are due to expire in March 31st.

This means that the EU shoe Federation's original request for reexamination submitted before the end of December 2010 will be cancelled.

"From the perspective of EU legal procedures, if there is no EU industry complaint, if the European Commission fails to initiate a review, anti-dumping measures against leather shoes in China and Vietnam will be terminated on March 31st this year.

This news is undoubtedly the biggest gift for Chinese leather shoes enterprises in the new year.

The Deputy Attorney General of China, who has been acting the case, said.

But Pu Ling said at the same time that the European Commission promised to monitor all imported leather shoes to ensure that no new dumping or other unfair actions occurred, thereby avoiding damage to the European industry again.

The EU footwear Federation is also seeking an omnidirectional strategy that can cover dumping and other unfair trade practices, as well as market access and respect for intellectual property rights.

Relevant experts said that China needs to show its determination and ability to protect domestic and foreign manufacturers' legitimate rights and interests. Only in this way can China push the pace of advanced manufacturing production to China.

The unremitting efforts of Chinese leather shoes enterprises have already achieved results.

It is learnt that the EU imposed a 16.5% anti-dumping duty on leather shoes originating in China in October 5, 2006, with a period of two years.

After the end of 2008, it entered the sunset review. In December 2009, the European Commission again ruled that the anti-dumping duty would be extended for 15 months until March 2011.
