Two. No master models and profiling are required.

Although the master model and the profiling are no longer used, the machining accuracy is improved.

For example, when machining tolerances are very strict and manually polished dies are needed after grinding the main cavity surface, the CAD data processing is better than the master model and the profiling.

The main difference is that the size control has been fundamentally improved.

The machining tolerances of mold cavity molded by plastic parts are changed with traditional methods.

Although the machining accuracy of the mould for plastic sheet molding is very good, the hot forming of plastic sheet is not as springback as that of stamping sheet metal. Therefore, it is generally not necessary to trial die after the CAD data is precisely controlled.

As long as the mold is verified by regular customers, it is no longer necessary to submit parts.


This is mainly because CAD data processing is used to test the processing results, and the mold cavity surface can also be mathematically analyzed, thus ensuring that the manufacturing process can be carried out strictly according to the original design data.

It is precisely because of the elimination of the mold manufacturing process manual operation, improve the mold accuracy and processing cycle competitiveness.


Therefore, the application of CAD data to die processing technology has been popularized in most mould factories.

The experience of many factories can now confirm that after applying this technology, although the tool track time increased by 14% based on CAM, the time used for polishing is reduced by 33%, the total processing time is reduced by 16.5%, and the quality of the mold is increased by 12%.

It can also provide finite element analysis for improving casting quality and thermal performance analysis of dies.

Three. Test by the three coordinate measuring machine


The three coordinate measuring machine used for testing with the CAD/CAM system is also different from the movable three coordinate measuring machine which is suitable for the traditional machining mould.

The three coordinate measuring machines now used are equipped with automatic measurement system.

 


The positioning accuracy of the three coordinate measuring machine in any measure space of 3250X2090X1370mm is 0.015mm.

The quality of the parts that can be measured by punching dies or plastic moulds is 40 tons.

In order to maintain the highest measurement accuracy of the measuring machine, it should be placed in an independent machine room which is isolated from the external environment. The room temperature should be maintained at 20 C.

In order to prevent the adverse effects of vibration on the measurement, the measuring machine should be installed on the concrete base with a mass of 100 tons, supported by air cushion.


In machining, the three coordinate measuring machine can not only be used as a tool for final inspection of mold quality, but also as a tool for testing machining process.

That is to say, in the process of processing, we will conduct midcourse inspection after each process.

For example, check the main cavity surface of the mold after processing.

Especially before polishing, a comprehensive inspection of the machined surface should be made in order to determine how to achieve the desired geometry of the machined surface more accurately.


When inspecting the die, it is necessary to pass through the parts with more dense streamlines.

Each mold needs to be tested two times.

Once before stamping, and after stamping.

The thickness of the upper and lower model cavities is measured by theoretical calculation, so as to grasp the actual situation of realizing the accuracy of CAD design data.

The die for molding plastic sheet is different from the die for stamping sheet metal. It has no problem of material springback.

An effective management system is able to track and manage the manufacturing process.

Such as mastering the progress of the process, parts flow status, purchase status of purchased parts, receiving status and processing quality.

This management system also includes bill of materials, planning and control, inventory management, standard castings, material history, total production schedule, material plan, order and sales history, quantity of arrival, operator's resume, control status of workshop, planning time, quality assessment, standard processing route, required production capacity plan, labor cost, outsourcing plan and arrival status, requisition, purchase history and deliverable quantity.

Using this software, you can choose the right time to purchase items and save labor.


So that all processing information is fully entered into inventory management, thus creating a complete material list.

Then proceed in an orderly way according to the processing route.

The system also provides data on operation time and machine running time, and the time to stop and wait.

This will not only reduce the time consumption of machine tools, but also calculate the actual production cost, so as to achieve the goal of reducing production costs.
